「進まない、風のない海。
日は昇り、沈む。
偶然と支離滅裂さが積み重なって人間になっていく。
本当に大切にすべきことは何か。
むしろ、進まないでみようか。
日は昇り、沈む。」
 

「doldrums」とは、赤道付近に存在する無風の海域。
エンジンのない時代には、船は推進力を得られず、足止めされていたデッドゾーン。
時は過ぎ、食糧は絶える。
荷物や生き物さえも捨て、船を軽くしてでも、進もうとした人々がいた。
「doldrums」は、人間の心理的な停滞状態も意味する。
今の時代は進み続けることができます。
何もかもが流れています。

「Stuck in windless sea.
The sun rises... sets...
Accumulation accidental and incoherence actions compose most of humanity.
What should value in our world?
Or rather try not to proceed?
The sun rises... sets...」

 

“doldrums” is a windless sea near the equator.
In the days when there were no engines yet, it was a dead zone there.
Ships couldnʼt get propulsion, time passed, and the food ran out.
People threw away their luggage and even living creatures and tried to lighten ships and move on.
“doldrums” also means psychological stagnation in humans.
Today, our times can go on.
Everything is flowing away.

髙 瑞貴 Taka Mizuki

1993 年石川県生まれ。静岡、岐阜、富山県育ち。
La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club(NY)「The Trojan Women」日本公演にて初舞台を踏む。以降、舞台、ミュージカル、映像、野外で表現。お茶の水女子大学舞踊・表現行動学修士過程修了。折田克子のもとでモダンダンスを研鑽。2017 年頃より自身の創作に目を向け、作品を発表。2018 年横浜ダンスコレクションコンペティションII奨励賞、2020 年ダンスが見たい!新人シリーズオーディエンス賞受賞。2022 年 2 ヶ月に一回の協働創作企画「Why Donʼt You Dance?」を主催。独自の即興アプローチから身体表現を模索。オリジナルな作品創作を探求する。創作の基軸は、「人間の奥底にある、うまく言葉にできない衝動や空白」。

Born 1993 in Ishikawa and grew up in Shizuoka, Gifu, and Toyama, Japan.
She has expressed on stages, outdoors, and other fields from early age, triggered by the encounter with Ellen Stewart (La MaMa). Master of dance expression and ethology major from Ochanomizu University. She learned Japanese modern dance from Katsuko Orita.
Since 2017, she has turned her attention to creation and presented her works. Yokohama Dance Collection CompetitionIIencourage prize in 2018. Dance ga mitai audience prize in 2020. In 2022, she hosted a collaborative creation project「Why Donʼt You Dance?」 once every two months. She has researched physical expression through her unique improvisational approach and explored original creation. She has strong interests to “Impulses and emptiness that cannot be expressed well in the depths of human beings”.
